Once the last pub when leaving Bristol on the old road to Wales, the White Bear address has been frequented by local residents, merchants and passers-by for over 250 years. Situated on the peak of St Michael’s Hill, Kingsdown, it has always been a popular choice for those wishing to grab a freshly cooked meal washed down with a pint of real ale or cider.

The lunch and dinner menus change daily using fresh ingredients sourced from leading independent suppliers. We also have traditional bar snacks and daily sharers. On the drinks side we serve traditional ales and lagers, fine wines, cocktails and a good selection of non-alcoholic beverages.
